15 MORE Days of I Am EveryWear

up & down up & down

up & down

Wow, where has the month of May gone? It’s so hard to believe Dex is 20 weeks old today. He’s grown so much.  Thank goodness we had the EveryWear for our various outings to accommodate my growing little man!

I’ve loved using the Organic lillebaby EveryWear this month.  and I am still very appreciative to Scandanavian Child and this opportunity to participate in the “I Am EveryWear” Challenge.

The EveryWear basically lives in the car so that when I am out at the store, I always have a way to carry my son.  At this point, we only use it in the front-carrying back-facing mode, but in the next few weeks, I may attempt the front-carrying front-facing mode since Dex is starting to look around and be more interested in the things around us while we walk through the stores.

Fortunately I was able to try out another soft-structured carrier before receiving the EveryWear. Honestly, it works better for me and my body. But that may not be the case for everyone. For some, it might be a little awkward to put on and manipulate all the straps. Since I am the primary wearer, the straps are set for me, so there’s very little adjusting needed. The only piece I have to fuss with is the head rest, but I think it’s because Dex squishes it while getting into the carrier. So that fix isn’t a real issue for me.

All in all, I’d recommend the lillebaby EveryWear to those who are willing to mess with a few straps initially and who aren’t partial to another soft-structured carrier. The Organic EveryWear is lightweight & breathable, very compact when not in use and the front pocket is a mommy saver!

Well, here are a few more moments of Dex & I using the EveryWear everywhere:

15 Days of I Am EveryWear

Jake's Party

@ Cousin Jake's 1st Birthday Party

In April, I was lucky enough to be chosen to receive a free lillebaby EveryWear Organic Carrier as part of Scandanavian Child’s I am EveryWear” Challenge. The Challenge encourages parents to go out & about with their babies, as well as a chance to get the word out about Lillebaby’s EveryWear Carrier.

I spent the later part of April, getting used to the new carrier, as I had only used a wrap and another well-known soft-structured carrier (which thankfully I was allowed to borrow from my cousin and did not have to spend money on, since it just didn’t work well for my body). I could not wait for May to come so I could spend more time using the EveryWear.

A little backstory. As an adoptive mother, I know how important bonding with our son is. The first couple of months of his life were spent snuggly against my chest in our wrap. But our little man is growing quickly and his weight was starting to cause strain on my shoulders (most bags/purses cause pain too, so I knew babywearing could be problematic at some point). I knew I needed to find a new carrier, but I didn’t know which one to get since there are so many options. (This contest really was a blessing, since I now had the chance to play with a new carrier that was on my short list.)
Something else some people might not know is that we decided before bringing home our son that we did not want to use an infant car seat carrier. As a matter of preference, we chose to go with a convertible car seat. Which means we would need a method to carry our son while out & about with him, since our poor arms would get tired eventually. We decided that we would wear him while shopping or eating in restaurants or even at church. It doesn’t take long to put on a baby carrier, regardless of the type, and it’s more opportunities to snuggle with our little one. I really do use the EveryWear for most of our outings – Walmart, Target, grocery shopping, eating out at restaurants, the post office, and all the other outings where using a stroller doesn’t make sense.

Thank you Scandanavian Child for the chance to use the EveryWear everywhere!

So, here are a few EveryWear moments captured, when i remembered to have a pic taken:
